| The
Bedford Police Department
is comprised of thirty-one full-time sworn Police Officers,
six full-time Dispatchers, Chief's Secretary, Detective Bureau
Secretary, a Record Specialist and JV Diversion Coordinator. Thirteen part-time employees that
include dispatchers, corrections, car wash, animal control
personnel and school crossing guards also support the Department. In addition, a Police
Auxiliary Unit supplements the Patrol Division. Some of their
duties include traffic and crowd control, vacation checks and
security needs at special functions. |

Recognizing our responsibility to maintain order, while affording dignity and respect to every individual, our objective is to improve the quality of life through community partnership which promotes safe, secure neighborhoods. |
