Mission Statement -
We, the members of the Bedford Police Department are committed to being responsive to our community in the delivery of quality services. Recognizing our responsibility to maintain order, while affording dignity and respect to every individual, our objective is to improve the quality of life through community partnership which promotes safe, secure neighborhoods.

In 2001, the Department updated the graphics it uses on the marked Police Cruisers. Included in the fleet are several unmarked Detective units and surveillance cars. We also have two marked K9 units and a rapid deployment SWAT vehicle.
