                <description><![CDATA[<p><br />Vote by Mail: You Must Request a Ballot Application if you wish to Vote by Mail:</p><p>&bull; Ballot applications are no longer automatically mailed to voters prior to each election. Ballot applications are available on the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website, www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us, local public libraries, or by calling 216-443-3298. Voters must pay postage when mailing their applications to the Board of Elections.</p><p>January 31, 2012 - Vote by Mail opens:</p><p>&bull; January 31st voters may begin to vote early at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is also the date the Board of Elections will begin mailing ballots to voters who have requested a ballot.</p><p>February 6, 2012 - Close of registration:</p><p>&bull; Voter registration and change of address deadline for the March 6th Primary Election is at 9:00 p.m. Voters who have not registered, have moved, or have changed their name and not yet updated their registration, must do so by this date. Registration cards are available at public libraries and at the Board of Elections website: www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us.</p><p>March 2, 2012 - Last day to Vote Early at the Board of Elections.</p><p>&bull; 6 p.m. is the deadline to hand deliver Vote by Mail ballot applications to the Board of Elections.</p><p>March 3, 2012 &ndash; Mail-in Vote by Mail ballot application request deadline:</p><p>&bull; The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections must receive mailed ballot application requests by noon on March 3rd for voters to be eligible to Vote by Mail.</p><p>March 5, 2012 - Ballots mailed in the U.S. must be postmarked on or before this date.</p><p>&bull; Put a stamp on your ballot return envelope. Ballot envelopes are not postage-paid.</p><p>March 6, 2012 - Election Day - Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.</p><p>&bull; Bring proper identification when voting: a current and valid photo identification card, driver's license or state issued identification, military identification, a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the voter&rsquo;s name and current address.</p><p>&bull; Voters need to know their ward, precinct, and voting location.                 <description><![CDATA[<p><br />The Cleveland Metroparks will be continuing their deer management program this winter. A portion of Bedford Reservation is within Bedford and a deer herd reduction is planned for this reservation. On several days during the period of January 10th through March 10th, the main body of the Bedford Reservation will be closed to the public.</p><p>Deer will be culled by using highly skilled and trained marksmen and safety is the number one goal. All shots will be fired from an elevated truck or tree-mounted platforms using noise-suppressed rifles. All residents who own property adjacent to Cleveland Metroparks property will be sent letters from Cleveland Metroparks advising them of the culling program.                 <description><![CDATA[<p><br />Voters need to be aware of new political boundaries&nbsp;for the March 6, 2012 Primary Election -&nbsp;Voters are being advised to become familiar with new political boundaries for County Council, State Legislative, and Congressional Districts that go into effect for the March 6th Primary Election. Maps are available on the Board of Elections website: <a href="http://www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us">www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us</a>.</p><p>The March 6th Primary will include local issues and feature candidates running for President, U.S. Congress, U.S. Senate, State Senate, State House Representatives, County Prosecutor, County Council Districts 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. In addition, there will be candidates for Ohio Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, as well as candidates for the Republican State and County Central Committees and Democratic State Central Committees.</p><p>The Board of Elections no longer automatically mails ballot applications to voters prior to each election. All registered voters may continue to Vote by Mail, however voters must now request their ballot application.<br /><br />Vote by Mail ballot applications are available at the Board of Elections website: www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us, by calling the Board of Elections at 216-443-3298, or visiting the Board of Elections at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.
